This holiday season, give the gift of giving! Help your children raise money to purchase gifts from their favorite charity. When purchasing gifts this year, keep in mind who you are supporting with your purchase. Here are some great gift ideas that give back!
Ornaments 4 Orphans
Over 12 million children in sub-Saharan Africa have been Orphaned due to AIDS. This amazing organization provides Americans with a seasonal opportunity to support Children and add something more meaningful to their Christmas tree.
I’m co-hosting an Ornament Giveaway until the 11th, but if you missed it you should consider purchasing one of their unique ornaments for your tree or as a gift.
Maybe you are on a tight budget this Christmas. That’s ok! All you need is TIME! Ornaments 4 Orphans needs volunteers to set up official O4O Christmas Trees in their Church, Business, or School. The deadline to participate is December 17th! Visit their Get Involved Page to learn more.
Bracelets with Purpose
Give Jewelry is a sustainable movement to provide food for orphans throughout Indonesia. Under Indonesian law, only citizens of the country can adopt children from its orphanages. That means, most of the orphans will live in the orphanages their whole lives. The purchase of 1 bracelet provides an orphan with 1 WEEK of food, hope, and shows them the LOVE of God through strangers like YOU!
Most of the bracelets are under $15 and my favorite are the charm bracelets and leather bracelets here. Checkout Give Jewelry’s amazing documentary of their recent trip to the Orphanages they support and follow them on Pinterest to get updates on all their new jewelry designs.
Mercy House
Women in Kenya are in desperate need of maternity care. Mothers often force their daughters into prostitution and 20,000 children are trafficked for sex every year. When young women become pregnant they are kicked out of school and have no where to go for support.
The Mercy House was founded by one of my favorite bloggers. You can watch the video about her story here. They exist to provide alternative options for pregnant girls living on the streets and also aid them in education, nutrition, housing, prenatal/postnatal care, Bible study, counseling and job skills for sustainable living!
Even more gifts that give:

Samaritan’s Purse is another awesome charity. They do the Christmas shoe boxes through churches, etc. each year AND have other wonderful items that can be purchased to help people around the world, in the name of Christ. 🙂 (Rev. Billy Graham’s son heads up the organization.)
Each year we (hubby and I) purchase something from World Vision and Samaritan’s Purse. They have lots of options to help people who otherwise would have no hope. I encourage all to check them out. Thanks so much to True Aim for offering these giving resources/ideas! What a blessing.

My daughter has cancer and has benefited from organizations similar to this in Germany. I’m happy that when she is in the hospital on holidays that she can still celebrate.
Thank you all.
