Oreos are good for dunking and bring back memories, but what else can you do with oreos? I’m sure there are lots more, but here are 610 different ways to play with OREOs!

10 Ways to Play with OREOs

​1. Fractions

Teach children fractions with their favorite OREO cookie and they will never forget the lesson!

2. Study the Moon

Doing a study on the Moon? Use an OREO to show kids what the moon looks like at all different times of the year!

3. Stacking Contest

I won an OREO stacking contest when I was young. It was a STEM activity as yummy as it was fun!

4. Dipped OREOs

This is always an easy way to make a fancy treat for parties and birthdays! Use different types of coatings like white and dark chocolate. Dip in caramel or peanut butter before coating to make them extra special.

5. Cookie Stuffed OREOs

​This is easier than it looks. You simply make cookie dough and put half on the bottom of an 8×8 square dish. Layer with OREOs and then cover with the last of the cookie dough.

6. Roll-a-Cookie Contest

How far can you roll your OREO without letting it fall over? It’s like the old hoola hoop rolling game where you hit the hoop with a stick to make it keep going. Just use a clean plastic table cloth and your finger so you can eat them afterward.

8. OREO Face

This minute-to-win-it game is simple. Put an OREO on your forehead and see if you can eat it without using your hands. First person to do it WINS!

9. OREO Art

This woman used the frosting of the OREO to make lots of different works of art. What can you make?

10. OREO Stuffed Strawberries

I tried my hand at playing with OREOs in a new way. I took the batter that you make for OREO balls and stuffed them inside strawberries.

My daughter helped me wash and scoop the middle out of the strawberries with a melon baller.

Then I filled and dip them in chocolate. Topped with whipped cream they were delicious!

I used about 1 package of the New Red Velvet OREOs now available in stores, crushed, and 5 tablespoons of cream cheese for the filling.

While any kind of fruit is fantastic on these, I think strawberries hit the spot.  They are a little more tart than blueberries and don’t mush as easy as raspberries, but you could use all three.  Kiwi might be nice too.  It tastes just like chocolate dipped fruit, but better!

Lately, my eldest daughter Audrey hasn’t been in the mood to cook with me.  I don’t like to force it, so I asked Emma to help.  Emma almost declined until I told her what we were making.  It’s funny how younger siblings want to be just like the older ones.

Emma made the brownie crust.  We just used a box of brownie mix to make it quick, but I substituted some apple sauce for half of the oil it called for.  If you prefer a more natural approach you could try this gluten free brownie recipe instead.

I poured the brownie mix out onto my 16 x 12 inch pan to get a nice thin crust because you want the fruit layer to be about the same thickness as the brownie layer, getting just the right amount of chocolate and fruit in every bite.  I baked mine for 15 minutes.  At first I thought it was too done, but after I put it in the refrigerator to cool and topped it with Whipped Cream Frosting, it was perfect.

While the brownies were cooking, we whipped up my famous Whipped Cream Frosting.  It is light and airy, but holds its shape.  I use it for everything because I can’t stand frosting that’s too sweet.

Chocolate and Fruit sandwich light Whipped Cream Frosting

Ingredients

• Brownie Mix or Brownie Recipe
• Whipped Cream Frosting
• 2 Lbs Fruit - slice if needed

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and prepare a large rimmed baking sheet (mine is 16 X 12 inch) with parchment or cooking spray.
2. Prepare your brownie batter according to the box or recipe directions and pour it into your pan. Spread it evenly with a spatula if needed.
3. Bake for 15 minutes or until the edges are crisp. Allow the brownies to cool completely on a rack or in the refrigerator.
4. Top with whipped cream frosting and fruit. Enjoy!

Warning: This dessert is dangerous.  It is so light and delicious you might end up eating way too much and get a tummy ache like my husband and I.  So proceed with caution
