Fall is my favorite season! Here are 30 fun fall activities for kids and families, ranging from DIY to baking to activities! I love the warm colors fall offers, layered clothing, and the gorgeous leaves. And, it felt super amazing to grab my boots out of storage! The weather is perfect – without being too hot or too cold.
- Trace leaves on paper (you can try leaf rubbing with crayons)
- Drink apple cider
- Read a fall book
- Go on a hayride
- Bake sugar cookies
- Try leaf threading (try this tutorial – you only need a handful of items)
- Eat corn on the cob
- Visit an apple orchard
- Jump in a pile of leaves
- Make warm soup
- Paint a pumpkin (here are some fun ideas to try, that many kids can try!)
- Have a bonfire
- Rake leaves for a friend
- Bake apple pie
- Have a fall photoshoot (Pinterest has same great photo inspiration)
- Visit a farm
- Have a family game night
- Do Christmas shopping
- Watch a fall movie
- Go on a nature hike
- Make s’mores (don’t want to have a bonfire? Make them in the oven)
- Dance (turn on your favorite tunes and have fun!)
- DIY a scarf (have a go at these five tutorials)
- Go to the pumpkin patch (one of the most classic fall activities, but is part of so many great memories!)
- Analyze leaves
- Play messy Twister
- Visit a play (check out your local high school or college)
- Make a prayer list (write a list of prayer requests down and hang them on your fridge or somewhere private like your bedroom)
- Bake banana bread
- Have an outdoor picnic
