DIY Chalk Board Blocks!
What a simple, but clever idea to make old toys new. Children will love decorating the houses over and over.
Free Printable Board Game
Board games never get old. This fun game encourages kids to read.
Bring the Snow Inside
Bring the winter fun indoors when it is too cold for little ones to go outside.
Make Ice Lanterns
Another fun winter activity. I could freeze these outside, but I’m a wimp. Kids will love making this frozen ice art.
Post Office Play
Such an easy project made from recyclables; this indoor activity encourages kids to write and draw.
Active Flash Card Game
I love this game because it is so simple, cheap, and kids love it!
Penguin Craft
This winter craft is so cute and is paired with a great book!
Fireworks in a Jar
Drops of color look like they explode in this fun science experiment.
Speed App for Kids
I have the Speed card game that helps kids learn to skip count, add, and multiply. You can try this new app for free. Head over to Highhill Education to find out more about it.
Hungry Bear Letter Sounds
I love this learning game idea because you could change the animals up and your kids will think it is a whole new game.

Thanks so much for the feature. You are definitely right about being able to use different animals. We have repurposed that cave craft in many ways, and the kids love it every time. Today I linked up the math game we played with it. Thanks again!

Thanks for featuring Speed! We are getting so much positive feedback on the iPad app and the funniest part is that adults love the game so much they don’t want to give their kids turns to play.

These activities are very healthy for children and do make them learn and play at the same time. Childrens play centre equipment are specially designed to make kids face the challenges, which will build their ability to be strong and learn a result oriented approach to cope with the hurdles on life.

Whenever my kids are stuck indoors, we always put on an audiobook to accompany whatever they’re doing. There’s lots of great sites to download them, but we use this one a lot because all of the stories are free and original. Here’s the link for anyone who is interested. http://www.twirlygirlshop.com/moral-stories-for-kids
