You can easily delete your ebooks on the iPad or tablet but there are online file distribution websites such as, torrents, 4shared, zippyshare, and this new one I just discovered soulseek.

I think we can compare these as apples and oranges for both products are really essential. Ebooks are revolutionary because of the quick access compared to hardcopies, as for that it can lead to information overload due to downloading too much books but not getting the chance to read all of it, the risk for one's eyesight is also a huge factor . For books though, lies the same problem but with accessibility it's already a challenge to look for essential books, the risk for one's eyesight is also less likely to happen but it really depends on the user's lighting at home. Though my bias will always be with books because you can access it firsthand compared to ebooks where when you delete it, and you lose net connection, or your tablet gets wrecked you lose the book instantly.

Whether one uses the library or not, property owners still have to pay the property taxes. May as well take advantage of it!

The wait list for eBooks at my library tends to be extremely long. Plus, there's something to be said for browsing the stacks -- I enjoy stumbling on new books so much more that way (even if it means some occasional fines).

I agree! I'm so bad about getting them back to the Library on time. And it isn't really "free" for everyone. If you own property, you have to pay taxes for the Library.

But you can get ebooks from most librarys as well and keeping an eye open I've gotten almost 200 quality books free on amazon. We actually pay more with hard copys at librarys because someone always has a late fee.

I never thought about hooking it up to the tv to read a book! That's awesome! I do daycare besides the kids of my own and there's always someone who can't see the pics, I am going to have to try this out. Thanks

I think both have their perks. I like hardbacks best. I love to see all of them. :)
I also get 99% of my books from the library, so eBooks would not be cheaper for me.

I love paper books. I love the smell, the feel and I love to highlight and write in them. However, as a busy homeschool mom of 8 kids, ebooks are more economical, and space saving for our family.

We just started Blue Manor Level 1 this week with 4 of our children and we are having a blast. This curriculum is a huge answer to prayer for me. I try to do lessons with just one child at a time, but before long all the kids are gathered around the computer listening in and having fun! Thanks so much!
