Activities With Salt and Kids
What can you do with salt? Turns out, there are lots of things! It can be used to help your little one learn to write, for craft projects, painting and more. You probably have some in your cupboard so get it out and start having some creative fun with salt and your kids!
Forever Spinning Top Toy
Here is a DIY toy that you can make in seconds and it really works! Your kids will love watching it spin. Add a flashlight and have your very own light show!
Pompom Painting
I love the idea of painting with unconventional materials. These pompoms make a really fun print. Some fun pictures to paint with pompoms are: trees, flowers, snowmen, and rainbows.
Airplane Activities
If your kids like airplanes they will love all of these activities. My favorite is this cardboard box airplane. You will find out how to make a clothespin airplane and play the classic airplane game by clicking on the image below.
Nature Made Snow Cones
If you have snow in your area, you can make this quick treat. Of course eating snow is not always safe, but I like to live dangerously 🙂
Snow Building Blocks
Get outside and make an igloo, castle, or tower and then knock it down. Why didn’t I think of this free activity before?
Learning Numbers with Indoor Chalk Twister
This is a creative way to use chalk. If you can’t get outside you can still use it inside!
Pocket Page Mini-Book Craft
These cute little books have pockets inside to store fun things like stickers or small prizes. You don’t have to make it out of scrapbook paper, but anything you have around. I think they would be great for making a mini lap-book.
Make a Plastic Bottle Maze
Turn a plastic jug into a maze to practice fine motor skills. You could do this with any jug and it is totally free! It would be fun to see if your children could make their own mazes too.
