Yes, so you fold the corners down to make the triangle and then flip it over and you'll see that you have a hood. Just make sure the cut side with the folds is the one that you are sewing onto the towel.

Question. So you cut a hand towel in half and only use half of the hand towel? And whats confusing is the folding part. So you put the folded part on the underneath?

The point you made about the body diverting energy to the stomach for digestion is such an overlooked factor in competitive performance. Whether it’s a physical sport or a mental challenge like chess, that "brain fog" after a heavy meal is real. It’s a great reminder that while "fueling up" is important, timing and portion control are actually the keys to staying sharp. I think the suggestion of small, healthy snacks throughout a day-long tournament is much more sustainable for kids than one large meal that might slow them down right when they need to be at their best.

This was such a fun and educational read! I really enjoyed the mix of history and unusual presidential facts—especially the story about Andrew Jackson’s parrot and Teddy Roosevelt continuing his speech after being shot. Posts like this make learning history much more engaging for both kids and adults.

The printable and unit study ideas are also a great resource for homeschool families. I’ve recently been exploring more presidential history content and collectibles, and found this site pretty interesting as well: https://uspresidentsclub.com/

Great tips on how to make toys last longer both physically and in terms of keeping kids engaged! I really like the idea of rotating toys and choosing quality toys that grow with your child—it’s such a smart and practical approach for parents. Keeping indoor and outdoor toys separate is also a simple but effective way to extend their lifespan.

One question though: what are your best strategies for cleaning and maintaining toys regularly to make them last even longer?

I actually made a pouf similar to this back in April at a fabric workshop, and it was such a fun challenge! I’d say it leans more toward an intermediate project I’m more of an advanced beginner myself and I definitely had a few triangles that didn’t line up perfectly at the seams. But honestly, with bold and beautiful fabric, those tiny imperfections just blend into the charm. Your pouf turned out absolutely gorgeous and so professionally done!
