My children love when I read their favorite Bible stories. They also love art. I had the opportunity to put the two together with Bible Story Art Lessons from See The Light. I was amazed at the beautiful creations my young children were able to create. And the lessons and stories they learned were priceless.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” John 14:6.
It all rests on the cross. Without it, mankind would still be plagued by the reality of sin and death. Because of the cross, we have hope. The CrossMaker Bible Story & Art Lesson portrays this monumental occasion in an artistic and engaging way. My kids were captivated by the beautiful drawings and passionate audio recording of the story.
Bible Story Art for Kids
After watching the story, my children were even more excited for the art lesson. I was worried that these lessons would be too complicated for my kids (ages 3 – 8). But they were perfect and included 3 pieces that varied in difficulty. We tried the creative lettering first, and had a lot of fun.
My children’s favorite project from this video was the Watercolor Crosses. Although the instructor used permanent markers, we improvised and used crayons instead. The crosses below were done by my 5-year-old.
During nap time, I let one of the older children (7-years-old) try the “He is Risen!” drawing. Although we didn’t have any chalk pastels, I thought she did an awesome job following the step-by-step directions with crayons!
We also tried “God’s Special Surprise” Bible Story Lesson. The kids liked watching this story just as much, but the art lessons were a little more difficult. We tried the Watercolor Project first since the last one was a bit hit. In this nighttime scene, baby Moses’ basket is floating in the Nile past the great pyramids.
I helped my 3-year-old draw the main pyramid picture and she had fun coloring it in. My 5-year-old did well with this scene (below) and asked if she could make her own bible story book with her art. So we will continue with the rest of the projects in this lesson.
See the Light Art Lessons for Kids
I was very impressed with the quality of the Bible Art Lesson DVDs. Each one impacted my children with the important Bible story lesson and inspired them to use the art techniques learned to make their own version of the projects. See the Light art lessons also add an optional unique Black Light feature to each of their projects for added excitement. This bible resource is perfect for ages 5+ and would be a great addition to your home or church video library.

Wow! These are all great! I think you said it best, though, “It all rests on the cross. Without it, mankind would still be plagued by the reality of sin and death. Because of the cross, we have hope.” So, The Crossmaker would be the one I wanted. Thanks for this amazing opportunity!
