Homeschooling can have its ups and downs – rough patches and frustrating days here and there. As a homeschool Senior this year, here are a few verses that have given our family encouragement over the years.
Deuteronomy 4:10 Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.
Deuteronomy 6:5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
Joshua 24:15 Choose this day whom you will serve…but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
Proverbs 8:10-11 Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 23:12 Apply your heart unto instruction, and your ears to the words of knowledge.
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God…and it shall be given him.
Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.
Hebrews 2:13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.
Philippians 1:9-11 And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ–to the glory and praise of God.
