The funnest, best ways to play with water are featured here.  If you don’t have any time, simply allow your child to take an extra play bath with a very small amount of water.  Any exploration is better than none.

Water Drums

Pots, pans, and bowls turned upside down make awesome sound conductors when the hose is sprayed on them.  I let my children experiment with different materials and the sounds they make.  A simple explanation about how vibrations make sounds helped my children understand what was happening and why certain bowls sounded better.
