I really liked the idea of “chalkboard wall”. It’s like giving your child the freedom to draw whatever they like on their bedroom walls.

My 6 y/o enjoys coloring the walls with crayons which honestly messes up the walls of our house.

I think this idea will help with her desire to draw on the walls without messing up our whole house.

Kids are an excellent joy of family life, but one thing which will be difficult is decorating a bedroom of somebody that grows so quickly before your eyes! I’m massive on gender neutral design and searching at this room. My top tip for decorating kids bedrooms is to maximize storage and to stay things simple, kids change their mind and obtain tired of tons of things very quickly, we’ve all been there!

I like the idea of turning one of our walls into a chalkboard. My teenage son is creative and that could help him a lot. We had medical experts check him with asthma when he was young too so that’s all cleared. We will need an interior expert in bedroom design who can help us out with this.

I love the chalkboard wall! My niece had one in her bedroom and she absolutely loves it!

Definitely make sure you have a smooth wall first as it’s not so easy to draw on if it has lumps and bumps!

I love your tip about hanging your children’s artwork from wire instead of just putting them up on the wall. My wife and I are hoping to decorate our son’s bedroom soon. We’re hoping to find a good furniture store that sells complete sets. We’re hoping to find something that will give it a timeless feel that he’ll be happy with.
