Josh Duggar was a spokesman for Faith and family values that he wasn’t himself living. He was leading a double life, and perhaps, still is. The enemies of the family, the pro-abortion, pro-pornography, pro-homosexuality, pro-divorce crowd are wild with delight to see a spokesman for family values destroyed.

They are going to crucify him in the media, and ruin his entire family if they can. They hate him, and now that they have him, they are going to finish him.

Yet, I’m not here to defend Josh; I don’t know him, never watched his show, can’t tell you what type of person he really is, and only God knows if he is truly repentant or just sorry that he got caught.

But the media isn’t really after Josh, are they? Since when have they cared about porn? Since when have they cared about adultery? When their own Lena Dunham admitted to molesting her sister, they came in droves to defend her (for the record, I think both were wrong, but since they were both “children,” I don’t know that it is fair to call either a “child molester”).

Josh is being nailed to the wall by these people, not because of what he did, but because of what he stood for – Faith and family values. In ruining Josh’s reputation, they hope to further erode the faith and family movement.

But Josh was right and his story proves it! Josh went around the country claiming that adultery, pornography, child-molestation are evil, and lead to destruction. Isn’t that exactly what has happened to him? His secret sins and lusts have devastated his family, and ruined his reputation. Had he lived the family values he was preaching he wouldn’t be in this terrible situation.

However, as far as discrediting his Faith, the opposite is true. I do not know a Christian in the world who claims perfection. The Apostle Paul writes, “It is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.” (Romans 7)

Josh is a Christian man, raised in a Christian home, admitting he is addicted to porn. That is how powerful and dangerous pornography is.

Now, if men raised in Christian homes were the only ones addicted to porn, then the media would have something. They could say “See, those values lead to lust and adultery.” But that isn’t the case. Pornography is rampant in the US, and around the world. Christians rally against pornography precisely because we see that it is a dangerous temptation for us, our spouses, our sons and daughters, and our neighbors and their families.

It is not hypocritical to profess a “moral ideal” that we know we can’t keep, but it IS hypocritical to claim a “moral ideal” doesn’t exist simply because we can’t keep it. To the world, lust is an indulgence, to the Christian a temptation. Still, our society loves to fling temptation into our faces, and then condemn us when we join them in their indulgences.

Now, as far as the media’s attempt to discredit our Faith because of Josh’s moral shortcomings, nothing could be more sinister and dishonest. Christianity has never claimed to be a religion of morally perfect people. In fact, it makes the exact opposite claim. It claims that all of us are sinners in need of a Savior. Josh proved that!

Christians already knew Josh was a sinner from the beginning. We certainly didn’t need the media to tell us that. Now we know to what extent, but our message remains the same: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” (Romans 3:23)

There are consequences for sin, and Josh is going to suffer those. Yet, what he has done proves all the more that America needs to embrace “family values,” and that we all are in need of a Savior, Jesus Christ, who paid the penalty for all sins, even terrible ones like Josh has committed.

To the Christians who are crushed by Josh’s shortcomings, perhaps you have created an idol of him? You were right to expect better, but Josh is not our spokesman – Jesus Christ is. And Jesus will not let you down!

The post Josh Duggar was RIGHT!

Read the first part of Things Kids NEED to know about college HERE.

Yes, it is true that on average, college graduates earn a million dollars more. However, before you get too excited, subtract the 4 to 7 years of college tuition, loans, and unearned income.

Also, remember that not all degrees are equal. If you are majoring in women’s studies, you will be lucky if your degree earns you a penny, much less a million dollars!

Humber College Lakeshore campus. Licensed under Public Domain via Wikimedia Commons

Finally, we have to ask if the degree made the man, or the man made the degree. You see, when you pound it into little children’s heads that the only road to success leads through college, the success driven children are likely to head that way.

It ends up being a self-fulfilling prophecy. Bar the way to college, and those same high achievers will find another route to their million dollars!

5. Party Life:

Believe it or not, there is a growing number of students who go to college for the “experience.” They watched Animal House one to many times. They don’t have the slightest clue what they want to study, but they go to college to party. This is why every year there are dozens of new Top Party School Lists.

So, if that is your plan, if you are going to college and party like an animal, I need to warn you first. The truth is most college parties aren’t anything like the ones depicted in movies.

For the ones that are, it is probable that you won’t be invited anyway. In that sense, college is just like high school. The hot girls that rejected you in school will also reject you in college. If its loose women that you want, you can find them in bars, clubs, strip joints, or anywhere else.

By no means am I recommending that, I’m simply saying that if you want to waste your life on wild women, you can do that outside of college just as easily.

However, if it’s beer that you’re after, be warned before you blow tuition money. Once beer is legal, it loses its novelty.

Your parents can buy all the beer that their hearts desire, but they don’t because once they become adults, the prospects of drinking themselves into oblivion every night loses its luster.

6. Worthless Degrees:

If you must go to college, please don’t buy yourself a worthless degree. It must be so painful to spend the same money on your women’s studies degree as an engineer spends on his engineering degree, only to discover post-graduation that no employer in America is looking for experts in feminism.

If you want to be an artist, a degree may help you develop the skills that you need, but it isn’t likely to land you the job. People hire artists according to their portfolios, not their degrees. Study art on your own, build a strong portfolio of outstanding art, and people will hire you.

History is another worthless degree. Look, I love history, and I study history, I just don’t fool myself into believing that historians are in demand in corporate America.

The point is, kids can’t just buy the degrees that interests them the most. They need to be sure that opportunities for livelihood exist within their field of study.

7. Getting Accepted:

Kids don’t need to kill themselves in high school to build a perfect resume. College is a business. If you have money for tuition, you will certainly find a school to take it.

So, relax. Never pull an all-nighter. Never get test anxiety. Never waste your weekends in SAT prep courses. College is not the most important thing in the world; stop treating it like it is!

School violence is one of the many reasons my children will never step foot in a government school. The video below says it all. A 13 boy is nearly beaten to death by 3 fifteen-year-old thugs – while everyone watches, and some even cheer!

The bus driver does all that he is required to do, which is nothing, or next to nothing. All that he is required to do is report the incident. He does not have to intervene if he fears the situation is not safe. That of course, leaves a 13 year-old boy to fend for himself. What man, stands by and watches a child beaten to death for fear of his own safety?

And while only one boy was beaten and sent to the hospital, the rest of the school will live in terror, aware that at any moment they too could become a target; knowing that they are alone – their school unable or unwilling to protect them.

Now you would think that after a horrific assault like this, the school would be shut down, or at the very least loving parents would rush to pull their children out! But I’ll bet that even the boy nearly beaten to death will be right back to school the moment he is well enough to leave the hospital!

Of course, things will be different now. He will know better than to report drug dealers. He will know better than to trust the system, the administrators, and his own parents. He will learn to survive and live according to the prison-yard-rules that schools so closely resemble. He will keep his head down and his mouth shut. What a great lesson. And I don’t mean to be facetious, but is this is the type of socializing homeschoolers are missing? Thank God!

No, until schools can provide a reasonably safe environment for our kids, they have absolutely no right to compel any student to attend! Insanity! No education is worth a child’s life. How can parents can be so calloused, offering their own children up as sacrificial lambs on the altar of forced schooling?

I realize not all schools are like this, but it only takes one bully, one time, to ruin a child’s life. Can anyone give me a good reason why this poor boy should be compelled to go back to school? What if it was your son or daughter, would you force them to return to school? Whether you agree or disagree, we want to hear your opinion.

It amazes me how many people still believe that government schools have no alternative motive. They fool themselves into believing “Good’lo Uncle Sam is just trying to teach the kids to read – even if he isn’t a very good teacher.” If that is your opinion, how do you explain such a rapid descent from our Christian roots? Well, I believe that this government has an alternative motive for forced schooling.

Still, this is new twist that took me by surprise. Apparently, indoctrination of the young is taking too long to push the government’s radical agenda. So, in an effort to speed up the conversion process, Obama and our “helpful government” have resorted to teaching kids, so that the kids can teach their parents. “Gayle Pollard-Terry, LAUSD spokeswoman, said “teens are part of a ‘pilot’ program to test whether young people can be trained as messengers to deliver outreach and limited education to family and friends in and around their homes,” according to Heartlander Magazine’s Loren Heal. Mrs. Obama hinted at this awhile ago and we all shrugged it of as a Freudian slip.

“Their fate isn’t set yet,” Mrs. Obama said. “We still have everything in our power because the other beautiful thing is that kids change quickly. Their habits are easily broken. They are so malleable, and they’re waiting for the right information, the right opportunities, and once they have it, they just go.”

“Many of the children in the public schools, they take this information, they understand it,” said Mrs. Obama. “They apply it to their lives, and they push their parents and their families to be different. That’s one of the reasons why we start with kids oftentimes. They are ready for change sometimes when we’re not.”

“That’s why we start with kids, right?” Michelle said. “We can affect who they will be forever.”

In this particular case, Obama is using school children to sell their parents on his unpopular “Obamacare.” A law that in part, forces Christian organizations to fund abortions! Perhaps, this is why Arne Duncan wants 14 hour school days, 7 days a week. If your kids are still in public school, this may be a good time to pull them and start homeschooling!

A loose noose gets the goose! A loose noose is hardly noticed and certainly not threatening. It is for that very reason that it is such an effective snare. Slow and steady, the noose is drawn tighter. By the time the goose suspects danger, it is too late. The noose is already tight.

The choking goose can struggle all he wants – his fate was sealed the moment he allowed the noose to rest gently around his shoulders. Of course, it’s not geese that I am worried about.

The purpose of this post is to dispel the myth that “harmless regulations” are actually harmless! It is frightening to see how many fellow homeschoolers are complacent as the government draws their noose tighter and tighter around our homeschooling necks. We say things like: “Well it’s not that bad.” “I already do that so I don’t mind.” “Well, it is California. What do you expect?” Each time we excuse them, those who would ban homeschooling draw the noose a little tighter.

When we do protest, we are too easily pacified by explanations that the new restrictions are really minor – hardly a change at all. In reality, all government regulation is an assault on homeschooling and should be treated as such. No matter how benign the regulations seem, their effects are devastating.

3 Harmful Effects of Regulating Homeschooling

1. The Right to Regulate: It makes no difference what the regulation is, so long as it is accepted. The moment a regulation is accepted, the right to regulate has been established and from then on proceeding regulations will be easier to push. In fact, while the severity of specific restrictions may still be challenged, few will ever again question the legitimacy of the initial “right to regulate.”

2. Homeschooling is Dangerous: The under lying assertion of any regulation is that without it, bad things happen. So, homeschooling regulations imply that parents cannot be trusted, that left to their own devises they might ruin their children. In fact, the risk of unregulated parents is so high that it requires a special laws to protect children.

3. Regulation is Banning: Make no mistake, a regulation is a ban, or a form of banning. For example, say a state passes a law that homeschools must have 1,400 classroom hours. Well, then they have just banned all homeschools that teach only 1,399 hours or less. Or, lets say that the state decides homeschools must meet state education requirements, didn’t the state just ban every homeschool that has a different idea about what should be taught and when? In each case, the state is effectively banning homeschooling by forcing homeschools to turn themselves into schools! The reason most parents homeschool is because they have rejected the school model for some reason or other, but through regulations the state forces school on our children whether we like it or not.

It is not the government’s responsibility to tell us what our children need to learn and for how long. God assigned parents with that responsibility! Homeschoolers should fight like our lives depend on it the moment we feel the loose noose of “harmless” regulations draped across our shoulders.

The Obama administration is seeking to legalize 30,000,000 illegal immigrants, while on the other hand prosecuting this one, lone, LEGAL, Christian homeschool family!! Their message is loud and clear:

1. All immigrants are welcome in the US, except Christian Homeschoolers who have faced persecution for their beliefs.

2. There is nothing inherently wrong with a government that bans homeschooling, persecutes homeschooling families, and kidnaps homeschooling children so that they can be raised by the state. This tyranny is acceptable and does not deserve protection.

3. We are setting a court precedence, that homeschooling is not a fundamental human right. This will make our legal battle much easier when we eventually try to ban homeschooling in the United States.

4. We are in charge. We will tell you where, when and what you are allowed to teach your children. If you don’t like that, fine, we will take your children.

Like I said, their message is loud and clear. This is not about the Romeike family. The Obama administration has bigger fish to fry, namely US Christian and homeschool families. It may be the Romeike’s sitting in court, but it is our rights, freedoms and beliefs that are on trial. Round 1, has just been lost. The 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals just ruled against the Romeike’s, against homeschooling, against parental rights. This is a terrible injustice – to have your asylum overturned so that our government can ship you back to Germany where your children will likely be siezed, all because the Obama administration has a political ax to grind.

Well, the battle was lost, but the war is still waging. HSLDA is preparing for Round 2. We have to stand with them! We have to get involved! We have to fight! We must send a loud and clear message of our own to this administration, this government and all governments, “Homeschooling is a God-given right! Don’t you dare deprive us of it!!!!!!!”

This young California couple was taught a terrifying lesson. They brought their 5-month-old son into a hospital for flu-like symptoms. The hospital told them their baby needed surgery, but the parents didn’t feel right about it. So, they left, went to another hospital and got a second opinion. There, they were told that their baby was well enough to take home. The story should have ended there, but first the authorities had to teach this young couple a lesson.

The next thing this couple knows, police and child protective services barge into their home and kidnap their baby boy! The terrified mother is told, and I quote, “I am going to grab your baby and don’t resist and don’t fight me okay?” The horrified mom pleads with the officers, but they have no sympathy, they have their orders. (see video below)

Then as a last appeal, the mom asks where her baby is being taken. The wretched social worker patronizes the weeping mother, and I quote, “We are not going to tell you right now because I’m, you’re not, I don’t think you’re acting rationally right now.” Really? How should a rational mom act when her baby is being abducted?!

This couple was taught a profound object lesson. Object lessons always pack a little more punch, especially when the object is your baby. Here the teachers were the policemen and the social worker and the moral of their story is this:

Children are property of the state, and we can repossess your children at anytime, for any reason, and you, being nothing more than the boy’s mother, had better not try to stop us!

I realize there are times for the State to step in, but never, not ever, like this! Parents should be innocent until proven guilty, there should at the very least be some hint of abuse, and parents should always be told where the authorities are taking their babies.

While children should be protected from “real” abuse, parents and children should be protected from the abuses and terror of over zealous, baby-napping social workers. If there is not more to this case, then I hope the couple sues California back into bankruptcy!

As most of you are aware, Adolf Hitler banned homeschooling in Germany, as a way to erode parental influence in German youth. Most, also know that to this day, Germany aggressively enforces Hitler’s homeschooling ban. What you may not know, is that the United States is now helping Germany enforce Hitler’s law!

After being terrorized by German officials for homeschooling, the Romeike Family fled Germany in 2008 and then sought asylum in the United States. Asylum was rightfully granted in 2010 and the Romeikes have been enjoying their “American” freedoms ever since. However, our current administration and the Department of Homeland Security, immediately sued to have the Romeikes deported, arguing that homeschooling is not a fundamental human right!

If homeschooling is not a fundamental human right, then it follows that denying citizens the “privilege” to homeschool is a matter of preference, not tyranny. The fact that this administration is strongly advocating amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants, many of whom fill our prisons, and is at the same time working hard to deport this “legal” immigrant family, seems contradictory. We must ask, “On what charge does the Romeikes deserve prosecution and deportation?” The only thing that sets them apart from other immigrants, is their desire to homeschool. So it appears, this administration is making a specific statement against homeschooling, not against immigration. And if the Department of Homeland Security wins this case, they will have set the precedence to restrict, or even ban, homeschooling in America.

So, please support the Romiekes. If not for their sakes, then for the sake of your family and your homeschool. We need to let our federal government know that, “Yes, homeschooling is a God–given, fundamental right!” Click on the image above, or go the Homeschool Legal Defense Association and sign their petition.

The post US Deporting Homeschoolers first appeared on True Aim.
